Tech 21 YYZ Geddy Lee Shape-shifter Signature SansAmp Pedal

The Tech 21 YYZ Shape-Shifter Geddy Lee Signature SansAmp brings Geddy's parallel clean-and-driven bass approach into a compact, all-analog preamp pedal. Blend deep, studio-clean tone with gritty bass tube amp character, then shape your sound for an existing amplifier, a power amp and speakers, or a direct connection to a PA mixer or recording setup.

The YYZ Shape-Shifter offers the same features and functionality as the MP40 Limited Edition Signature SansAmp, with the color scheme and graphics of Geddy's other Signature SansAmp models.

Tone-Shaping Controls

• Mix: Blends the ratio of the Deep studio-clean signal path and the Drive bass tube amp-style signal path.
• Drive: Adjusts gain and overdrive, with a response inspired by pushing the output section of a tube amplifier.
• Active three-band EQ: Shapes your bass tone.
• Master: Controls overall volume.
• Tight: Adds note definition in cleaner settings and makes distorted tones snappier.

Boost and Shape-Shifter

The selectable Boost footswitch provides a 12 dB presence boost for increased top-end distortion. Engage the Shape-Shifter button to add another 6 dB of what Geddy calls “Schmegilka” for an extra dose of character.

All-Analog SansAmp Technology

SansAmp Tube Amplifier Emulation encompasses the preamp, power amp, and speaker simulation in a 100% analog signal path. Its built-in speaker/cabinet simulation is designed for a smooth, even response and can complement guitar or bass cabinet systems. An external IR can be placed after the SansAmp for additional tonal shaping.
