Over 230 Million Wavetable Variations

The Modwave MKII comes loaded with over 200 characterful wavetables, each with up to 64 waveforms, which — combined with modifier and morph features — allows for a staggering 230 million wavetable variations. You can also import wavetables from Xfer Record's Serum or custom wavetables in WaveEdit format. A multi-gigabyte PCM library adds realism to patches with Korg's impeccably recorded samples.

Shape Your Sounds with MS-20 and Polysix Filters

The Modwave MKII packs lowpass and highpass filters modeled after the classic MS-20, a lowpass filter based on the Polysix, plus an array of 2- and 4-pole lowpass, highpass, bandpass, and band-reject filters. Korg's beloved multimode filter can morph and modulate between multiple filter modes.

KAOSS Physics: Hands-On Expression

The Modwave MKII features the renowned KAOSS X/Y touchpad and introduces KAOSS Physics, which models the behavior of a bouncing ball for randomized parameter automation. Customize the environment by defining slope shapes, adjusting surface friction, and choosing between padded or hard walls — or remove walls entirely for wrap-around behavior. KAOSS Physics parameters can be modulated by any of the Modwave MKII's dozens of modulation sources.

Motion Sequencing 2.0

An evolution of the Korg wavestate's Wave Sequencing 2.0, Motion Sequencing 2.0 brings incredible dynamism to your patches. Manipulate sample sequence, timing, and pitch independently via individual "Lanes," each with its own step count, start/end/loop points, and optional step randomization for a completely nonlinear playing experience.

Onboard Effects

Pre FX includes a Decimator bit crusher, studio-quality EQ and compression, ring modulation, tremolo, and a waveshaper. Mod FX, five stereo delays, a master reverb, and a 4-band parametric master EQ round out a massive effects suite for any sonic direction.

Balanced line-level outputs ensure great sound over long cable runs. A headphone output is available for personal monitoring. DIN MIDI ports connect with other MIDI hardware, and class-compliant USB MIDI integrates with your computer. Free editor software from Korg makes patch management easy.
