The Ketron EVENT is a 76-key arranger keyboard that combines expressive keyboard sounds with audio-based accompaniment. Real Drums, Real Bass and Real Chord parts bring recorded performances into your arrangements, while dedicated sliders and a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen keep essential controls within reach.

Move from a piano-led ballad to an organ-driven groove, customize the backing parts to suit your set, and call up your next song through registrations and performance sets. EVENT brings arranging, multimedia playback and vocal processing together for solo performers and demanding keyboard players.

Shape your accompaniment

Build each performance around three intros, three endings, four variations, four fills and four breaks. Three independent Groove sections provide a library of more than 780 percussion and drum loops. Style Modeling lets you combine audio and MIDI parts, while Style Edit offers recording, copying, quantizing, velocity and octave editing.

Choose Easy or Fingered chord recognition, Bassist or Pianist modes, Manual Bass, rootless chords and bass/chord locking. Three Lower parts support mono/poly operation. Record chord sequences with the Phrase function and save keyboard setups in four Registration banks or organize material in seven Performance sets.

Expressive sounds and hands-on control

Explore acoustic and electric pianos, strings, brass, saxophones, pads, synths, guitars, basses and ethnic sounds, including Ketron Real Solos. Edit envelopes, filters, layers and effects to build your own voices. The organ section includes 24 presets, percussion, overdrive and slow/fast rotor control.

The panel provides 15 sliders with RGB LED indicators and eight rotary controls for external effects adjustment. Available effects include reverb, chorus, phaser, flanger, overdrive, distortion, tremolo, autopan and EQ, with 64 single-effect presets and 64 effect chains.

Sampling and user expansion

EVENT provides 2.5 GB of non-volatile Flash storage, allocated as 1.5 GB for additional factory sound banks and 1 GB for User samples. The Sample Editor supports up to 8,192 samples, with a maximum of six seconds per sample, and up to four layered stereo instruments. User drum kits and external User Live Drums, Real Chords and Real Basses expand your creative options.

Playback, recording and vocals

Two independent multimedia players support formats including MIDI, MP3, WAV, MP4, TXT and PDF. Playback tools include playlists, Jukebox, markers, crossfade, search, lyrics and audio time stretching. Stem mode provides four scenes with up to five synchronized audio tracks per scene, plus individual level, mute, solo, loop, transpose and time-stretch controls.

Recording options include a stereo audio track, MIDI and Song Style recording, plus 5+1-track audio multitrack operation. Two microphone inputs provide vocal processing: Micro 1 uses XLR with gain control and effects, while Micro 2 uses a jack connection with volume and reverb control. The three-voice Voicetron vocal harmonizer can follow the arranger or a MIDI file.
