Casio Dimension Shifter Wireless Expression Controller

The Casio Dimension Shifter turns natural guitar and strap movement into real-time expression control, so you can shape compatible effects without staying planted over a foot-operated expression pedal. The strap-mounted transmitter sends movement data wirelessly to a receiver connected to your effects gear.

Pull down on the guitar neck to stretch the transmitter’s spring and control an assigned parameter, such as volume, volume swells, wah position, tremolo speed, delay depth, or modulation. Available parameters depend on the connected pedal or processor. Dimension Shifter controls compatible effects; it does not generate those effects itself.

Motion control and hands-free switching

• Adjustable spring tension lets you tailor the feel to your guitar’s weight and playing style.
• The CAL button sets the active movement range within the spring’s maximum 20 mm travel.
• The INV button reverses expression direction, while HOLD lets you bypass or freeze an effect in place.
• Wireless switching can toggle effects or change presets when supported by the connected gear and configuration.
• The illuminated receiver provides visual feedback.
• Use alongside a traditional expression pedal to control one effect with guitar movement and another with your foot.

Connections and compatibility

Connect the receiver’s 1/4-inch TRS output to a compatible EXP, EXP/CTRL, or expression input using a standard TRS expression cable, sold separately. A regular TS guitar cable is not a substitute. Three selectable TRS wiring options provide compatibility with a broad range of effects gear; check your effect’s expression-input requirements before connecting.

The transmitter attaches to most guitars with standard strap pins, but certain non-standard or specialized pins may not fit. Use the included protective silicone cover to help protect your guitar’s finish. Once both units are switched on, the transmitter and receiver pair automatically.
