Boss reinvents delay once again with the DD-8 — a loaded pedal delivering the widest range of delay tones ever packed into a Boss compact. Eleven modes cover everything from basic digital delay to vintage analog, tape, shimmer, reverse, and beyond. An onboard looper with unlimited overdub rounds it out, making the DD-8 one of the most capable single pedals you can add to your board.

A Plethora of Pristine Echoes

The DD-8's eleven delay modes span an impressive sonic range: clean digital delays, vintage analog and tape types, modulation echo, shimmer, and reverse. Three newly developed types push things further — Warm for softer echo tones, +RV for blended delay and reverb, and GLT for glitchy rhythmic effects. Warp mode delivers ambient swells and textures for cinematic soundscapes.

Immersive Stereo Sound

The DD-8 features true stereo I/O with three selectable output modes: independent delays (normal on Output A, long on Output B), ping-pong panning, and wide stereo for enhanced spatial depth. Everything sounds bigger in stereo — and the DD-8 delivers.

Hands-Free Expression

Tap in tempos with the onboard footswitch and control Warp and GLT modes for expressive real-time effects. Add one or two optional footswitches for on-demand tap tempo, extended looper control, and the Twist effect for soaring echo sounds. An expression pedal provides continuous control of level, feedback, delay time — or all three simultaneously.

Built-In Looper & Smart I/O

The DD-8's looper mode offers up to 40 seconds of recording time with unlimited overdub for building on-the-fly backing tracks and ambient layers. Smart I/O jacks support a wide variety of connection setups — mono, stereo, wet/dry, wet-only, and discrete dry/effect outputs for wet/dry rigs.
